Omoda Jaecoo Australia warrants (subject to the listed Terms and Conditions) that if any part of the vehicle is found to be defective in materials or workmanship within the stated warranty period, it will be repaired, replaced, or rectified by an authorised Omoda Jaecoo dealer at no cost upon obtaining approval from Omoda Jaecoo Australia.The warranty does NOT cover vehicles acquired at auction or imported into Australia other than through Omoda Jaecoo Australia. The warranty does not cover any indirect, direct, or incidental loss or damage. Any legal rights or remedies for such loss or damage should be pursued separately. Omoda Jaecoo Australia does not accept liability for any item of the vehicle that failed due to normal wear and tear, driver abuse, unauthorised modification, or non-professional repair or maintenance.Omoda Jaecoo Australia may require replaced components and/or parts to be returned to the factory for audit and/or quality control purposes. Warranty audits may be performed on authorised dealers for work conducted on its behalf. Where a part or component is replaced free of charge under the warranty, the old, replaced component and/or part becomes the property of Omoda Jaecoo Australia.Other Rights: The benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to the consumer's rights and remedies under Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Reproduction or duplication, either partially or fully, without written permission is prohibited.Warranty Coverage PeriodThe Omoda Jaecoo New Vehicle Warranty is 8 years/unlimited kilometres from the first registration date. Demonstrator vehicles carry the balance of the original warranty. Commercial use: For vehicles primarily used for taxi, ride sharing, rental, courier, hire, or driving school purposes, the warranty period is limited to 8 years or 150,000 kilometers, whichever occurs first.The high-voltage battery is covered under the same terms, with coverage extending to issues where the net residual capacity falls below 70% during the warranty period.Transfer of Warranty The warranty is attached to the vehicle and transfers to subsequent owners within the warranty period, provided the vehicle was purchased from an authorised Omoda Jaecoo dealer.Claiming Warranty Repairs To make a claim under this warranty, the owner must deliver the vehicle and the Service Booklet to an authorised Omoda Jaecoo dealer at their own expense. After repair completion, the owner must collect the vehicle from the dealer, also at their own expense. Warranty repairs will be conducted by authorised Omoda Jaecoo dealers only, during normal business hours, within a reasonable timeframe.What Is Covered Omoda Jaecoo Australia will repair or replace any part on the vehicle (except for those items listed below under the section titled ‘ITEMS NOT COVERED’) which proves to be defective in materials or workmanship, free of charge, subject to the terms and conditions of this warranty.Items not coveredTyres and batteries are not covered by this Warranty. Please see further below for information relating to tyres and batteries.Any damage of defect arising from any form of neglect, misuse or are not covered by this Warranty.Normal maintenance services including, but not limited to, wheel balancing, tyre rotation, headlight aiming, engine tune-up, replacement of light bulbs, distributor points, spark plugs, drive belts, worn clutch discs, worn brake pads/shoes, wiper blades, filters, lubricants and coolant, are not covered by this Warranty.This Warranty does not cover wheel alignments and balancing, brake adjustments or mechanical repairs which become necessary as a result of normal wear and tear.This Warranty does not cover normal wear and items, meaning the gradual reduction in operating performance of a part or parts having regard to the age of the vehicle, the distance it has travelled and its operating conditions. This includes but is not limited to the replacement of clutch linings, brake pads/discs, windshield wiper blades, incandescent bulbs, fuses, worn seat covers and other trim, paint and appearance items that wear out through normal use or deterioration.Warranty coverage does not apply in the following circumstances:Vehicle has not been serviced and maintained as per the manufacturer’s guidelines.The defects are due to modifications not approved/authorised by Omoda Jaecoo Australia.The defects are caused by abuse or negligence.The vehicle has been written off by any insurance company or government vehicle regulation body.Accidents, theft or fire or illegal use.Use of non-recommended, improper or dirty fuel, fluid, oil or lubricant.Defects caused by work carried out by repairers other than authorised Omoda Jaecoo Dealers or approved repairers.The defects are due to installation or use of non-genuine parts.Continuing to drive the vehicle after loss of lubricants, oils, refrigerant or water on or after knowledge of failure.The defects are due to the vehicle having been loaded beyond the manufacturer’s specifications.The defects are due to the vehicle being used for purposes for which it was not designed, such as rallying, racing, hill climbing, speed trials or similar activities, towing beyond weight limits recommended by the company or all terrain use.Deterioration due to use and exposure and or damage/corrosion from environmental conditions such as fall-out, salt, stones, tree sap, bird droppings, hail, flood or acts of God.Further, and subject to s.259(4), s.271 (2) and s.271(4) and s.272(2) of Australian Consumer Law, Omoda Jaecoo Australia excludes any and all liability for loss or damage for problems:unrelated to Omoda Jaecoo’s ‘s conduct.unrelated to the goods supplied by Omoda Jaecoo’s ; orcaused by something independent of Omoda Jaecoo’s after the goods have left its control.Tyre WarrantyTyres supplied on new vehicles are warranted separately by the tyre manufacturer.
