Jaecoo is pleased to announce pricing and spec for its upcoming petrol-powered J5 variants.

Starting from $25,990 for the Track variant and topping out at $29,990 for the Summit, J5 aims to bring incredible bang for your buck in the small SUV segment.

Coming standard with intelligent voice command, a 13.2-inch infotainment screen and remote engine start plus HVAC function, makes the Track considerably well equipped for an entry-level model.

The top-spec Summit adds extra luxuries such as a large panoramic glass roof, heated plus ventilated front seats and a powered tailgate.

While very similar in design to the EV variant, the petrol-powered J5 adds Jaecoo’s signature waterfall front grille as seen on the larger J7 and J8 SUVs, while there are also unique 18-inch alloy wheels to help distinguish the two versions.

Inside, the designers have taken a minimalist approach that results in a clean yet functional interior. Highlighted by an intuitive 13.2-inch touchscreen that controls things such as air conditioning, digital radio, vehicle settings plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Underneath the sleek body is a robust 1.5-litre, turbocharged engine that produces 108kW/210Nm.

Paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), power is sent exclusively to the front wheels and together deliver a combined fuel consumption figure of 7.5L/100km.

Like the entire Jaecoo range, the J5 petrol is equipped with the latest and greatest safety features to best protect all onboard occupants.

This includes passive safety like 7 airbags, while there’s also a long list of advanced safety systems such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Forward Collision Warning (FCW).

The J5 petrol will arrive in showrooms this May/June and will be backed by the brand’s comprehensive 8-year/unlimited kilometer warranty.
