Quickly building off the hype of the J7, Jaecoo has successfully launched its second model to the Australian market.

The J8 was introduced to the country’s leading automotive journalists on a recent media drive event from Sydney down to Berry, NSW.

Across the board, all the attendees agreed the J8 offers unmatchable value for money, featuring an impressive array of technology that is usually reserved for cars with a much larger price tag.

Alex Lawerance from Carsales summed up the SUV perfectly: “The 2025 Jaecoo J8 represents very good value and, as a first taste, it feels like a great family hauler. It looks good on the outside, feels premium on the inside, comes loaded with standard equipment, and it’s laden with tech.”

While CarExpert’s William Stopford said, “for the price of a mid-spec mid-sizer, you get a large SUV absolutely loaded with kit, with a high-tech, well-appointed and attractive interior.”

Matt Campbell from The Right Car also stated, “if you’re after a spacious 5-seater SUV with loads of standard equipment, a long warranty and a pretty achievable price point, it (J8) could a be a fantastic choice.”
