JAECOO has confirmed that the all-new compact SUV, JAECOO J5, will go on sale in early 2026. The smaller J5 builds on the success of the mid-size J7, bringing the same design language and outdoor-focused approach to a new corner of the SUV segment. 

The J5 will come with 3 powertrain options:

-1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 108kW and 210 Nm of torque, paired with a responsive CVT transmission.

-BEV with a range of 402 km (WLTP).

-1.5-litre series-parallel Hybrid  

Defined by its upright silhouette, wide shoulders and signature waterfall grille, the JAECOO J5 takes visual cues from nature, with body lines inspired by mountain ridges and dramatic natural landscapes. While its appearance is rugged, its intent is refined: this is a compact SUV designed to support busy, style-conscious drivers looking for versatility, capability, and everyday comfort.

Inside, the cabin focuses on space, function, and serenity. Five adults can travel comfortably, with the J5’s generous 2620mm wheelbase providing ample room for all passengers.  The boot offers 480 litres of luggage space with the rear seats in place, while the 60:40 split folding rear bench can be folded flat, providing up to 1284 litres of total cargo capacity 

Standard features include a 13.2-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8.0-inch digital driver’s cluster and a 6-speaker audio system.
